NEMSMS Honoree Blain Claborn

Huntsville, Tennessee

Blain Claborn became ill while transporting a cardiac patient to a Knoxville, Tennessee, hospital. During the trip, he had to pull to the side of the road because he was experiencing chest pains. Another crew picked up Blain and his patient and continued the trip to Knoxville. Blain died in the emergency room on September 11, 1974.
