"Diana was a dedicated flight nurse, and a full time paramedic who enjoyed every minute of her work," stated her husband, Steven Conner, "there wasn't a better nurse anywhere." "She was thrilled to be at work every minute she was there; she was just 'outstanding'". When Diana landed the job as a flight nurse, another goal had been met; it was her dream job. Diana's best friend and fellow emergency room nurse, Meggin Gunn, said Diana was the most energetic person she knew. I worked with her for six years and she was very meticulous and punctual. She was full of life, full of love, and loyal, such a loyal friend. Diana was that way with everyone; her patients were so lucky, and she will be missed by all of us, stated Gunn.
Diana Lynn Conner, 42, of Florence, South Carolina, was killed in the line of duty on September 25, 2009.
